Sydney - Zuiderdam - Canada/New England - June 24, 2025

After two busy port days, I took this port day a bit easier. There isn’t as much to see right at the port area and my excursion in Sydney was booked for when we return next week.

After breakfast, we headed to the bow to watch sail in. It was sunnier than the day before but still plenty windy. When we noticed the ship starting to turn around to back into the port, we headed to the aft of the ship to my parent’s balcony. The big landmark in the Sydney cruise port is a giant fiddle.

Before lunch, we all went out on port to take a few family photos. We did a little shopping in the port building, finding more of those maple candies and then re-boarded the ship.

The elevators have a carpet with the day of the week in it.  I generally don't use the elevators and I think it is better not to get this reminder of the day of the week.

I don’t recall how I spent the afternoon but after dinner in the main dining room, I headed back out on shore because all aboard wasn't until 7:30 p.m. and I wanted to take another walk around the port area.  I brought my tripod with me to take a few more selfies.

Then I enjoyed watching sail away and then sunset from the promenade deck.

Tonight was the orange party on the Lido deck so I changed into a dress with orange flowers and headed up to check it out.  They had a DJ playing, were offering orange drinks, and had decorated the pool deck in orange.  The roof to the pool area was slightly open so I could observe from the deck above.  I didn't stay too long though as I was tired.
