2018 Caribbean Cruise - At Sea - Monday, November 26, 2018

At sea days are my favorite.  You can do as much or as little as you want.  There is no rush.  And you can't beat the view of the endless seas.  This ship was a little different in that there was so much to do and the majority of the public spaces have no view of the water so it is so easy to forget you are on a ship.

We found that a great place to eat breakfast is Johnny Rockets.  It is a speciality restaurant for lunch and dinner but is open for free for breakfast.  Waitstaff serve you made-to-order omelettes, pancakes, etc., all of which was very good.  Plus, we were able to sit outside and enjoy people watching on the Boardwalk.

Mornings, even late mornings, are quite quiet around the ship.  There was no wait at the rock climbing wall or for the carousel and you could easily walk through Central Park or along the Boardwalk without a lot of people.

My husband took a try at the climbing wall.

I snuck away for a Martini seminar in the afternoon at the Wonderland bar where Joseph from the Philippines shared with us recipes of his favorite martinis and gave us samples of them all.  He was a lot of fun and the martinis were excellent.

There was a beautiful sunset before dinner (even in the Caribbean the sunset sets early as winter approaches).

After dinner, we sat in the first row for the ice skating show in Studio B titled, "1887: A journey in Time" which was excellent.  The skaters were very talented and the music and costumes were so much fun.

Our second show of the night was the Comedy show at the Attic staring Jim David and AJ Jamal, both of which were very funny.  So Jim David tells us a story about getting on the elevator with someone who makes a comment about this being the Monday elevator.  He asks the individual, "were you in the Sunday elevator yesterday?"  The reply is, "yes, but that was on the other side of the ship."  We laughed as we replayed our own conversation in the elevator earlier that day.  Then at the end of the evening (after midnight), we got in a "Tuesday" elevator.  Thank goodness for the elevators or we would never know what day it was.

Although it was already quite late (the comedy show ended about 11:30 p.m.), we couldn't go to bed quite yet because next up was "Hush The Silent Party".  I first got addicted to silent disco on the Celebrity cruise we took with my husband's parents a couple of years ago and then had a chance to dance again at a silent disco event at the Milwaukee Art Museum earlier this year.  For those of you that don't know what it is, everyone wears headphones and can tune into two or three different DJs.  So you might be dancing with someone who is dancing to an entirely different tune.  It is so much fun and I find it so liberating.  My husband was so kind to indulge me in this late night fun.  We didn't stay all that long (the dance floor got pretty packed) but had a lot of fun!
