We had the advantage of spending two days in Barbados and so we took it easy Friday morning with plans to be at the beach all afternoon and enjoy the sunset at the beach. We went to a beach in Carlisle Bay, a little over a mile walk from the ship. We rented two chairs from Pirates Cove and enjoyed free Wi-Fi as well.
The beach and water were breathtaking and the weather was just perfect (mid to upper 80s with a breeze and scattered clouds). Even at its busiest, the beach was never crowded and by sunset it was very quiet.

We had such a great time, I convinced my husband to take me back the next morning and so we were among the first on the beach in the morning and back on board in time to shower and have lunch. The weather was in the mid to upper 80s and mostly sunny although we did encounter an isolated rain shower on our way back to the ship the second day. This was the best port by far and a great beach.
Friday
Saturday
Friday the show as A Taste of Broadway put on by the Celebrity Singers and Orchestra. We didn’t know enough of these songs to truly enjoy this show but the singers were very talented.
Saturday the show was Gary Arbuthnot which we decided to skip. Instead after dinner, we relaxed in the room until the Liars Club with Capitan Leo, our Cruise Director Eddy, and the comedian, Rich Aronovitch. This was hilarious and worth staying up late for.
