Jacksonville Trip - Wednesday, September 7, 2016 - Jacksonville

Today was the relaxing day I needed.  I have worked too hard lately and am really appreciating this much needed time off.

While my husband was hard at work, I did yoga next to the roof top pool, walked on the treadmill for 30 minutes, and then read by the pool before going back up to my room to change into my swimsuit.  I swam for a little while, laid in the sun to dry off, and then found lunch in my room after talking to a recruiter and doing a little job searching.  After lunch, I cuddled up with a good book and soon found myself napping.  The rest of the afternoon was spent poolside alternating laying in the sun and reading and dipping in the pool to cool off.  The pool is not heated and so was a bit cool but it felt so good in the heat.

We wandered the Jacksonville Art Walk this evening.  I think it is Jacksonville's way of trying to draw people downtown in the evening.  It appears most evenings it is a bit of a ghost town, and even tonight it didn't draw a lot of people.  Although we could have walked as it is all so close to the hotel, we took the Skyway to the area near the museum, found some food, and wandered the Museum of Contemporary Art which was free this evening.  Here are some photos:
