It was a very early morning as our meeting time for our excursion was 7:00 a.m. in the theater. We were up to watch the sunrise over Maui and then found some early breakfast in the buffet.

The tender ride in to port |
This day's excursion was Destination Highlight: Adventure to Hana. Our time in Laihana was a bit tight for such a long excursion like this so we were glad with the cruise line opened one up. Their excursions come with a guarantee to get us back to the ship on time or get us to the next port on their dime.
We were in a 25 passenger small bus which handled the windy roads quite well. It is not an excursion for the faint of heart though with all the twists and turns. I wore my ReliefBand which successfully combatted any motion sickness. Others in the bus didn't do quite as well but at one of our stops our guide recommended a ginger tonic which some felt helpful.

And then we came to the end of a really great excursion. We made it back to the pier to catch one of the last tenders back to the ship. We had a lovely view for dinner.
The Celebrity Eclipse has been upgraded to SpaceX Starlink. I purchased the premium internet package so I would be able to blog and upload. Paul used his mom's extra basic internet account. At dinner we tested the speeds of the two packages side by side. Below are the screenshots (premium on the left, basic on the right).
Celebrity seems to be throttling their speeds quite a bit. Reports from other Celebrity ships sailing in other parts of the world show a consistent cap of about 4.5/2/5 for the premium package which is what I experienced throughout the cruise. Basic package seems to be capped at 1/0.5. Being in the middle of the Pacific Ocean doesn't seem to have affected our speeds. Location of the ship sometimes made a different though. Speeds were quite a bit slower in our interior cabin. And speeds slowed down anywhere that lots of people were gathered during waking hours.
I was a bit disappointed in internet speeds. I sometimes ran into issues uploading short reels and shorts. And a less than four minute YouTube video took many hours overnight. I also never could get my Amazon photos app to back up my photos. We had better internet speeds on the last three cruises (Royal Caribbean's Freedom of the Seas, Margaritaville at Sea, and NCL's Prima).
