This was day four of sunrises and some of the colors before the sun rose were spectacular although it kind of fizzled out a bit. It also rose over the back of the ship, so I also got to enjoy the wake at the same time. I found a spot on one of the decks above the aft pool with no one else around.
Our port on this day was Grand Turk, Turks & Caicos which has beautiful beaches just steps off the ship. We arrived around noon which gave us the morning to swim in the ship pools and relax.
After lunch, we got off to walk down to the point of the island and discovered some birds. Then as we walked through the area with shops, we had a chance to admire some gorgeous flowers.

Dinner was again in the Main Dining Room. We also took some time to sit in the Piazza and listen to the steel drum played by Tyrone Babb. He was one of our favorites to listen to in lounges, especially when he played in the Piazza where we could sit in Vines and enjoy wine or Crooners or Good Spirits and enjoy cocktails.
After breakfast, we spent some time relaxing in Skywalkers Lounge and watched the Caribbean Princess back into its berth at Amber Cove, Dominican Republic. We had no real plans for this port except to get off to be able to say we had been to the Dominican Republic. This port has been created by Carnival Corp as a sort of private resort (but not with quite all the features of Princess Cays or Half Moon Cay). There is a pool with plenty of loungers, drinks to purchase, a zip line, and a number of shops.
We enjoyed a quiet morning on the ship, had lunch on the Lido Deck at the Salty Dog Grill/Slice, and then headed out to explore. It was quite the party atmosphere and based on the towels on lounge chairs, it appeared to be mostly passengers from the Carnival Magic which was also in port.

The music was loud on land and it was all a bit chaotic so we were back on board very quickly. I don't think we spent more than half an hour on land.
I was able to catch sail away from above the bridge. I really enjoy having a room on the Lido Deck as this open deck in the front of the ship is just steps from our room. The only disappointment is that it is closed from Sunset to Sunrise and any time it is too windy so there have been many times I wish I could access it but it has been closed.
Tonight was a formal night with lobster. We snapped a quick photo on the promenade deck.
