I then spent some time in Horizon’s Lounge hoping my room steward would get my room clean. They had a similar continental breakfast set up there. About 9:15 a.m. I went down to my room and discovered it had not been cleaned yet and my room steward had not yet started so I grabbed my laptop and headed back to the Horizon’s Lounge where I spent a few more hours. Before I left, they had taken down the continental breakfast items and set up the snacks buffet which had a make your own trail mix bar that included things like jelly beans and gummy bears among the more traditional elements.

I spent the afternoon mostly on my balcony and then inside my cabin when the clouds came out and I got too cold. I made good use of my grandma’s quillo on this day. I read and I wrote and I just enjoyed the sea. I might have even closed my eyes for a few moments. I went up for dinner about 6:30pm and had one last lobster dinner and creme brûlée for dessert. Service was so fast that I was in and out in about 30 minutes. It almost felt too fast. I went back to my cabin to do some packing and relax before an early bedtime. My goal was to be up for our sail into New York City and passed the Statute of Liberty which I estimated would be sometime around 5:30 a.m. (as you read the next post you will see, I was off just a bit on our arrival time).
