Botanical Gardens Tour - Day 4 - Tuesday, August 3, 2021 - Huntsville Botanical Gardens, AL

This morning's trip to Huntsville was only about three hours and I wanted to avoid rush hour in Nashville so I took my time, enjoyed a really good hot breakfast at the hotel, and finished sorting through photos from the day before.  I arrived at the Huntsville Botanical Gardens around noon and was surprised to see how empty the parking lot was.  I was able to snag one of the spots in the shade that we usually get when we are the first ones to arrive for the day.  And as I was entering many people were leaving so the place was really all mine to explore without interruption.

This day's theme seemed to be bees, butterflies, spiders, and other insects.

The butterfly house at these gardens is always one of my favorite spots and there seemed to be even more butterflies than normal!

This grasshopper found its way into the butterfly house.

This year's exhibit is "Uncaged: Birds, Nature, & You".

I found a Green Lynx Spider again in the same area of the garden on these same flowers as a visit last October!

I only spent about an hour and 40 minutes at this garden but I think I was anxious to get home and knew this is a garden I will get back to again soon.  The drive home from there was only about 1.5 hours.

My total trip was a little over 1,600 miles.  I visited four major botanical gardens in six days and had a great visit with my family so it really all was quite a success and so much fun!
